LOCATION
Brisbane Precinct
Talisman Group operates six distinct venues in one Brisbane precinct: Sasso Italiano serves wood-fired pizza, Casa Chow blends Chinese and Peruvian flavors, Purple Palm crafts gin cocktails, South City Wine curates bottles, plus two more unique concepts. Each venue attracts different crowds but shares the same foot traffic.
THE CHALLENGE
The problem? Customers constantly moved between venues asking dietary questions that staff couldn't answer. Italian servers had no clue about the ingredients in Chinese-Peruvian dishes. Bartenders at Purple Palm couldn't help with wine sulfites at South City.
Busy nights meant lengthy ingredient discussions that slowed service and frustrated both staff and customers who just wanted to know if they could eat safely.
THE SOLUTION
Unified Implementation Across the Precinct
Rather than rolling out venue by venue, Talisman implemented Foodini across all six restaurants simultaneously. This meant every staff member could confidently direct customers to any venue knowing dietary information would be clearly available.
Staff Confidence Across All Venues
The implementation started with Sasso Italiano as the flagship, then quickly expanded as customer flow between venues increased. Now, a server at the Italian restaurant can confidently recommend the Chinese-Peruvian spot next door to a customer with gluten sensitivity, knowing they'll find the same clear dietary information.
THE RESULTS
Improved Customer Flow Between Venues
Customers now move freely between Talisman's venues without dietary anxiety. A couple can start with cocktails at Purple Palm, move to dinner at Casa Chow, and finish with wine at South City - all while managing a nut allergy seamlessly.
Staff Efficiency Improvements
Staff spend less time in lengthy ingredient discussions and more time serving customers. The unified system means cross-training between venues is simpler, and temporary staff can work across multiple concepts without dietary knowledge gaps.

WHAT THEY SAY
"Before Foodini, our Italian staff would sometimes struggle when customers asked about our Chinese-Peruvian dishes. Now they confidently send people between venues knowing the dietary info is covered."
